ARTIST PAGE CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION
For many years now Klaus Staudt’s work has been a constant source of fascination even for those skeptical towards concrete art. It proved not to be a mere repetition or sublimation of long-ago researched areas in art, but instead added an aesthetic and psychic dimension of openness and transparency as entirely original qualities to the rational foundation in a convincing and indeed surprising manner. Hans-Peter Riese summarized it thus: “ Today the work of Klaus Staudt, in spite of its homogeneity, does not appear monolithic but open and capable of further development, providing an optically present proof that a major individual artistic achievement in systematic-constructive design is indeed possible”.
Exquisite silence has been one of the hallmarks of Staudt’s works from its early days. It can be felt at first sight. It does take time and concentration to understand its unique quality.
